A modder and programmer discovers that the stars in the sky in Majora’s Mask change their position depending on the name that we have entered in our game; not available in the 3DS remake.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is one of the most experimental and disturbing installments that we can find in the popular Nintendo saga. Although it is one of the most divisive titles among the most staunch fans, it is undeniable that the game has a very particular charm and that it is full of secrets and creepypasta . Within this last category we find a curious detail that no one had ever noticed until today, more than 20 years after its premiere on Nintendo 64. A programmer has discovered that the stars in the sky of Majora’s Mask have more crumbs than they appear and that vary in each game .
Of course, we are not talking about the terrifying Moon , an element of the sky that is impossible to miss because of its imposing presence. More specifically, we are talking about the stars that we can find in the sky, which vary depending on our departure as revealed by a modder and programmer on his Twitter account. But, how is it that they change depending on the game of each player? Well, it seems that the position of the stars is different depending on the name we have chosen for the file of our game and character .
The 3DS version does not have this detail
As in most titles in the saga, Majora’s Mask allows us to choose the name we want for our protagonist, which appears in the save files before starting the game. The stars are distributed in a unique way based on the name we choose ; of course we can always use the name of Link that comes by default, although if you have the original version of the classic N64 you can try different names to check this curiosity. Unfortunately, this small detail does not appear in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D , the remake released for Nintendo’s successful three-dimensional laptop, which is understandable considering that this version introduced numerous changes.
