Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is one of the best Japanese ARPGs that have come to us in recent times. This is endorsed by both specialized reviews and players who have been able to enjoy it both on Nintendo Switch, the console on which it was launched in 2018, and on Ps5, the platform on which it landed at the end of 2022. But perhaps the path of Falcom’s title is not over yet and it still has one last season left: Xbox Game Pass.
Or at least that’s what Nick Shpeshal claims in his latest XboxEra podcast, where he has also shown the Gears 6 and Ultimate Collection logos.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana would be a great addition to Xbox Game Pass
Thus, the insider who also mentioned that Microsoft and Platinum would be working on the return of Scalebound, confirms that Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana could end up coming to Xbox Series X | S and Xbox Game Pass. A great addition that would continue to demonstrate this approach between Japanese titles and developers towards Microsoft and Xbox. Undoubtedly, great news to come true but, as we always tell you, for now we take it with a grain of salt until it is official. Of course, it would not be strange if it ended up happening, since the game is available on practically all current platforms.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is one of the most successful Japanese Action RPGs of recent years and is currently available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PS5.
