Apparently, the first video of Yakuza 8 will be shown as early as next week as part of a special edition of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio TV . It will air on September 8
Directly in the description of Yakuza 8 is not mentioned, but the composition of the participants of the program with the producer of Yakuza: Like a Dragon Masayoshi Yokoyama at the head hints that they will show it. The developers promise “a first look at the new game.”
Probably, the audience will be shown a short trailer, and a full presentation will take place already at Tokyo Game Show 2022 in the middle of the month.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is currently working on several games at once, but the development of Yakuza 8 has moved further than the rest. In July, Japanese MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura recorded an interview with the developers of the series for his YouTube channel and showed several frames from the sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon in the video. On one of them, the authors demonstrated a new hairstyle for the protagonist Kasuga Ichibana.

A sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon was first announced back in 2020 . The game does not yet have an exact release date, but they started recording voice acting for it this spring.
