Xbox Game Publishing Japan is apparently partnering with world-renowned studios and developers on triple A games for Xbox.
The Japanese division of Xbox Game Studios Pushing is partnering with “world-renowned” developers on “big budget” games according to senior producer Matt Smith and some job announcements posted by Microsoft.
With a message on Twitter, Smith states that the team located in the Rising Sun is growing and that they are working “with top-class developers on truly groundbreaking product for Xbox.”
In subsequent tweets, Smith listed various open positions for the Japanese division of Xbox Games Studios Publishing Japan, in which he talks about “working directly for Xbox and with world-renowned developers on cutting-edge games for a large international audience and with Microsoft’s support “.
Another job posting says: “We are looking for candidates with a wealth of experience in software engineering for big budget games .”
For the uninitiated, Xbox Game Publishing is a division of Microsoft that focuses on publishing games made by independent developers and studios for Xbox and PC consoles.
From the words of Smith and the job advertisements published by Microsoft, therefore, there would seem to be ambitious projects on the horizon carried out in collaboration with rather important Japanese studios and authors. Which could prove to be an extremely interesting strategy, as it could strengthen the Xbox’s appeal in Japan, as well as increase the variety of the Xbox catalog.
And who knows maybe among the ongoing projects of Xbox Game Studios Publishing Japan there is also the alleged Xbox exclusive of Hideo Kojima .
