Masaaki Yamagiwa, has also stressed that the number of hours can be increased considerably if we want to do everything, including the content behind the credits.
In a chat with Vandal , Masaaki Yamagiwa , the producer of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, who has revealed new details that have allowed us to get a better idea of what exactly we can expect from this title whose launch is scheduled for early next year on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC (it will also be available from day one on Xbox Game Pass).
A 40-hour adventure divided into independent missions
One of the first things confirmed to us is that the game will have a classic quest structure, just like Nioh . In other words, here there will not be a single map with all its interconnected regions, but its development will be divided into independent linear levels, a decision that has been made deliberately to allow the action and the show to shine at all times, thus facilitating so Team Ninja can focus on doing what they do best.
Of course, this does not mean that the exploration is going to be left aside, since the phases will have a multitude of routes and secrets, something that has now been further enhanced thanks to the inclusion of a button to jump , which will result in much larger and vertical maps than those of the Nioh saga.
Yamagiwa estimate that the game will last approximately 40 hours , a figure that, obviously, can be increased considerably depending on our way of playing and if we want to face the challenges that await us after arriving to the title credits. In addition, we remind you that the title will be very challenging and will include online multiplayer features so that we can make groups of up to three people .
Unfortunately, they have not been able to give us an approximate release date for their promised test version , although at the Tokyo Game Show 2022 there will be a demo that will allow the public to try it for the first time.
