Ubisoft Quartz is not very popular, and in fact it can be said that the proposal of the French corporation was noticed by only a dozen players. The company has currently only sold 15 NFTs.
Ubisoft took the lead, and as the first corporation to develop AAA games, the company unveiled Ubisoft Quartz. It is an NFT or “non-replaceable token”, which in the case of studio production means an exclusive and very limited digital product – Ubisoft showed weapon skins and an abstract helmet .
As it turns out, although Ubisoft wants to revolutionize the industry, players are not interested in the French proposal – according to available information, customers have decided to buy only 15 NFT. There are many indications that a few users decided to earn, but currently only $ 1,755.30 has been spent on digital items.
I must definitely emphasize that Ubisoft has great plans, is currently giving away part of the NFT, and additionally Ubisoft Quartz is in the beta (products are available in selected markets), but even in this situation the company certainly counted on much more interest.
However, it is no secret that Ubisoft’s NFT has one drawback – the products are intended for players, so external customers who count on quick earnings will find it difficult to find their way in these realities.
As journalist Stephen Totilo noted on Twitter, all Ubisoft NFT purchases appear to be for the gun skin in Ghost Recon. No one has bought the helmet, which requires 600 hours of playtime to obtain.
However, this is good news for players who believe that Ubisoft will follow the path of STALKER’s developers and announce its withdrawal from this project … Although, according to official information, the producer of the Assassin’s Creed series still believes in the NFT.
