Ubisoft has canceled development of Splinter Cell VR and Ghost Recon Frontline (and two other unannounced games)
Ubisoft has canceled development of Splinter Cell VR , Ghost Recon Frontline , and two other unannounced games, according to journalist Stephen Totilo.
Revealed in 2020, Splinter Cell VR was due to land on the Oculus Quest 2 headset along with a virtual reality episode of Assassin’s Creed , which we imagine is still in production. To date, however, the game has never been shown in action.
The situation of Ghost Recon Frontline is very different, the new free-to-play battle royale announced last October and the protagonist of a series of closed tests that at this point we suppose have not given the results hoped for by the company.
Obviously, nothing is known about the other two games canceled by Ubisoft, at least for the moment: maybe some leaker will be able to steal information on the projects in question, which could be linked to new intellectual properties or perhaps mark the return of some old franchise.
