Microsoft started the current generation with two consoles, but currently no new versions of devices have appeared on the market. However, everything may change in the coming months as the manufacturer is reportedly working on improving the Xbox Series X system.
In recent months, Microsoft has been putting more and more Series X | S Xboxes on the market , but the company is not only to work on improving the availability of the current generation consoles. The manufacturer also reportedly wants to improve the equipment, and this is why work on a better chip is underway.
The subject of the improved Xbox Series X was raised by Brad Sams, who is a well-versed journalist on the subject of Microsoft. The editor was asked about the XSX revision, and Sams pointed out that the Redmond engineers are actually working to improve the hardware.
“I believe this is true […] I know that Microsoft was working on revisions of the chip.
Now, are we going to see performance improvements, are we going to see anything else? I do not believe so but Microsoft is always working on making cooler, more efficient chips because that lowers the cost of production.”
“I believe it is accurate the Microsoft is working on a smaller, more power efficient chip. That is, I’m very confident in that.”
As you know, on previous generations, we have seen, among others, the Xbox Series S, Xbox 360 Slim, Xbox 360 Super Slim, PlayStation 4 Slim or PlayStation 3 Slim, so no one should be surprised that the American corporation can think about improving the equipment.
The situation is interesting, however, as Brad Sams mentions that Microsoft has been working on tweaking the layout.
