The new installment of the CD Projekt role-playing game saga will use Unreal Engine 5, an engine that includes the MetaHuman tool, with which a fan has recreated Geralt and company.
The Witcher 4 , or however the next role-playing game developed by CD Projekt RED is called , is being created with Unreal Engine 5, Epic Games’ powerful graphics engine that still has time to see its promising results. Included in the engine is MetaHuman , an innovative tool capable of creating realistic humans in a short time . That feature is already available in a testing phase with limited features. Given the lack of images and videos of the new title, a fan of the saga has set to work to recreate Geralt, Yennifer, Olgierd and Triss with MetaHumanso we can get an idea of how realistic the characters will potentially look in the game.
“As a big fan of The Witcher 3 and now CD Project Red announced that the new installment of The Witcher will be using UE5, I wanted to explore how the Witcher 3 characters could look like using metahumans. The new mesh to metahuman function made it very easy to use The Witcher 3,” explains CG Adventures in the description of the video.
The creator of the video continues: “The new mesh-to- metahuman feature made it very easy to use The Witcher 3 characters for reference . Right now, MetaHuman is limited to certain hair styles, eyebrows , eye colors, and of course, no scars, but I did my best for Geralt, Yennifer, Olgierd and Triss.”
