The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt will be updated today and this update will weigh up to 20 GB: let’s see what we know about the March 13, 2023 patch.
Marcin Momot, Global Community Director at CD Projekt RED, has revealed that the Polish team is ready to release a new update for The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. At the time of writing, a patch note has not yet been shared.
According to Momot, The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt update will weigh 2 GB in the PC version, while on console it will weigh between 10 and 20 GB (a significant difference, it must be said) depending on the platform and version of the game. Momot also specifies that the update will arrive “if all goes according to plan”.
We assume that this update serves to further improve The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt after the arrival of the “next-gen” version, but also to optimize some new content also shared with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the RPG adventure.
As mentioned, we don’t have any details on The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt update at the moment, so it’s hard to say exactly what could be changed, but considering we’re talking at least 10GB for the console versions, if not 20GB, it’s clearly of something massive.
It is also possible that this update is to eliminate the NSFW mod included by mistake.
