The studio belonging to CD Projekt is working on a multiplayer game. It is to use one of the brands of the Polish company.
Interesting job offers posted by CD Projekt have appeared on the web . It turns out that the company is recruiting employees to be part of The Molasses Flood team.
The studio is working on a multiplayer game set in one of the universes operated by Polish developers.
Comes The Witcher Multiplayer?
The Molasses Flood is a Boston-based studio known for such titles as Drake Hollow and The Flame in the Flood . Last year it was taken over by CD Projekt and it was already announced that the developers would create the title under one of the established IPs.
So there were basically only two brands at stake: The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 . Now we have also learned that we are talking about multiplayer production, as indicated by the aforementioned job offers.

In the descriptions of individual positions, we can read that the developers will design various game modes and scenarios, and the production itself will use the technique of procedural level generation, as well as creating them “manually”. We also know that the game will have extensive social functions, an internal economy and a complex “living” world.
In addition, we can conclude from the announcements that the title will be created on the basis of Unreal Engine 4. The mention in the Senior Engine Programmer’s job description suggests, however, that the studio may also use the newer Unreal Engine 5. Information in individual offers suggests that the studio is really working on large multiplayer production.
For now, we can only speculate which brand The Molasses Flood will use. The more likely option, however, seems to be The Witcher.
We have known about the multiplayer mode for Cyberpunk 2077 for a long time, so it is doubtful that CD Projekt is going to hide this fact now. Keeping a secret around an unannounced project related to the Witcher universe is perfectly understandable.
