The launch date is the same as when the new price increase will be applied in Japan. (September 15th)
Twitter user Renka Schedule noticed that the Japanese retailer GEO Online opened on its website a page for a new revision of the PlayStation 5 under the number CFI-1200 , which was approved by the Japanese authorities back in May.
The store has listed a September 15, 2022 release date for the remastered console , which coincides with the previously announced PS5 price increase in Japan.

The last revision (CFI-1100) made the console 300 grams lighter, changed the heatsink and the base’s screw with a thumb screw, this revision could bring the rumored 6nm process and make the availability of the console easier.
What updates the next revision will bring is still unknown. This may be a minor change as there are rumors of a 6nm slim version of the PS5 coming out next year. It is unlikely that Sony will now radically update the console.
