Youtuber shared several interesting details about Mojang’s game
Minecraft is a sandbox that lets you explore procedurally generated worlds filled with caverns, valuable materials, and plenty of secrets. It is clear that a Minecraft world is gigantic and full of life, but have you ever wondered how big it is? A youtuber did it and the result is impressive.
It just so happens that the content creator known as CraftyMasterman decided to put his brain to work and do the math to find out how big a Minecraft world is . Thanks to this he discovered that a Mojang sandbox map at its maximum size is 18 times larger than the planet Earth.
But how did he come to this conclusion? The first thing he did was take the size of each Minecraft cube , that is 1 cubic meter. From that he took the size of the world, which measures 60 million blocks by 60 million blocks. That means that the surface of a Minecraft world is 3600 million square kilometers, so its area is 7 times greater than that of the Earth.
Now, the surface is not the only thing that matters when measuring a planet since they are spheres. So, the youtuber took out the radius to discover the volume of a supposed Minecraft planet . The result is a huge number (2.03×10 cubed) of volume that turns out to be 18.7 times larger than that of Planet Earth.
