Cezar Virtosu, creative director of the sequel to Lords of the Fallen, has offered new details about this Souls-style installment that will arrive in 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
The sequel to Lords of the Fallen reappeared at the Gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live. The title, formerly known as Lords of the Fallen 2 and now as The Lords of the Fallen , is owned by Hexworks and will be developed in Unreal Engine 5 . Now it has been known through a press release, as collected from GamingBolt , that the game will be up to five times larger than its predecessor and that it will have a rich narrative that will revolve around the character created by the players.
The Lords of the Fallen is a more than worthy successor
Thus, the action game similar to the Souls formula plans to offer a very different experience from what we saw in the first installment, with a gigantic world to explore and with more NPCs that will allow the narrative to take on greater weight, always combining with the gameplay. “The Lords of the Fallen is the spiritual successor fans of the original title have always wanted. The game is significantly larger, with a vast, interconnected dual world split between the realms of the living and dead, that players can explore alone or with friends. “ says the title’s creative director, Cezar Virtosu .
The Lords of the Fallen will also be darker and more sinister, as the creative director goes on to explain: ” It’s darker and more challenging, with faster-paced combat like Souls, a stronger theme, a richer narrative, deeper roleplaying and more immersive storytelling .” In addition, players can use ‘devastating magic.'” It is also said that the fights will be faster, so the difficulty may have also been increased a bit to match that frenzy. The game will be released in 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC , but for now no specific dates have been given regarding its launch, we will have more news soon.
