The House of the Dead: Remake is an update to the classic rail shooter that was released in arcades in 1997. In the remake, the developers have remained true to the original gameplay, but have modernized the graphics and controls to match the current gaming standards.

The project offers a two-player local mode, multiple endings, a photo mode, achievement support, an armory with unlockable weapons, a new game mode with hordes of the undead, and a gallery. The Xbox Series X|S version will also offer customized graphics and performance .

The House of the Dead: Remake was originally released on Switch only on April 7, and went on sale for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Steam and GOG on the 28th of the same month.
