Techland has revealed some details about the planned story expansions for Dying Light 2 Stay Human. It turns out that at least the first DLC will not be a continuation of the story.

“It will be possible to start as soon as Aiden arrives in town. As this will be the first expansion, we didn’t want to force players to complete the campaign, ” he admitted.
“I’ve read some of our community’s speculation but haven’t seen a correct theory yet. So I hope that we will positively surprise with this DLC, ” added Smektała. Elsewhere, he added that there will be no shortage of moral choices again, and players will find themselves outside the city of Villedor .
Other updates are also planned, unrelated to extensions. Techland plans to focus mainly on “different kinds of network experience” as the developers feel they “can do a lot more” in the multiplayer realm of Dying Light 2.
