Chief creative officer Chris Stone has revealed that the horror of The Callisto Protocol is inspired by games and films of the genre, but also by real events.
The Callisto Protocol will stage a horror inspired by games and films of the genre, but also by real events : the chief creative officer of Striking Distance, Chris Stone, revealed it during an interview.
Unveiled with a new trailer and gameplay video at Summer Game Fest, The Callisto Protocol obviously draws on video games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil , as well as films like The Thing and Point of No Return , but apparently the team has pushed it beyond.
“We’ve found ourselves looking at a lot of real-life examples of horror and gore,” Stone explains. “While these were a lot less fun to research, it was some of the most memorable and valuable content when it came to creating realistic visuals and experiences.”
The premises are therefore those of a survival horror that on the one hand pays homage to the classics of this specific genre, as well as to historical films, but at the same time aims to bring a vivid and realistic representation to the screen.
While waiting for the release , set for December 2nd.
