There is still no precise news on the release date of Starfield , but a possible certainty comes from the fact that it will be positioned after the release of Redfall , according to what was reported by Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios at Microsoft.

In a recent interview with the podcast Friends Per Second, Booty did not want to give precise information on the releases of the next big games by Xbox Game Studios , but at least he specified the order of the release dates, with Redfall destined for definitely arrive before Starfield.
This is not too surprising: despite being unveiled much later, Redfall has the air of a title that is almost ready, also considering how much has already been seen of the game in question.
While Starfield continues to really show off with the dropper, in fact with only the gameplay trailer from last June showing anything actual about the game, Redfall by comparison has already been pretty thorough.
This obviously does not yet imply certainties, but at least it allows you to have a vague idea of how these releases could be positioned in 2023. Not even Redfall has a precise release date yet, but it is still expected towards the spring of next year, with some rumors to report that it is placed for March 2023.
If this were to be confirmed, we can therefore think that Starfield will arrive later, which still opens up several possibilities: it could arrive in the same spring period, or towards May, or move more towards summer in June.
