Starfield has received a “Restricted” rating from the classification body of Australia, where sale will be prohibited to minors.
Starfield has been examined by the Australian Classification Board which has classified it as “Restricted” , i.e. a game that is forbidden to an underage audience due to the content it contains.
In particular, Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG achieved this classification due to the presence of “moderate impact” language and themes, “strong impact” violence and “very light impact” nudity and a “high impact” for the drug use. Note that instead it seems there will be no sex scenes.

To make a comparison remaining in the Bethesda house, both The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4 in Australia were classified “15+” (in Europe instead PEGI assigned “18+” to both), a sign that perhaps Starfield could include a greater amount of violence and themes not suitable for young audiences than in the company’s previous games.
We remind you that Starfield will be available on Xbox Series X|S and PC starting September 6, 2023 . It will be included in the PC and Xbox Game Pass catalog at launch.
