Star Wars KOTOR arrives on Nintendo Switch with a bundle, but the first game is locked until the second is available.
Star Wars KOTOR II will arrive on June 8, 2022 on Nintendo Switch. The first chapter is available since November 11, 2021. Nevertheless, if you buy the bundle of the two games on the Switch, you will find yourself with the first chapter blocked until the release of the second.

It is an oddity, perhaps the result of some technical limitations of the eShop , which considers the first game as part of the second KOTOR and consequently thinks that the release date is the same as the second game. We also note that the Star Wars KOTOR bundle has no advantage: the price is exactly the sum of the price of the two games purchased separately.
In case you intend to buy the bundle this weekend to start playing, then, we advise you not to do so and to take the games separately, so as not to be blocked. It wouldn’t be a particularly long wait, but we do know that some players use the weekend to calmly start their favorite games. Star Wars KOTOR is an old classic, but we bet there are plenty of players interested in rediscovering these titles.
What happened with the Star Wars KOTOR bundle is not actually new : other bundles in the past have suffered the same fate. We will have to see, in any case, if Nintendo or the developers will do something to fix the problem before June 8, 2022, although we see it unlikely as it is a limit that will resolve itself within a few days.
