Sony has allegedly approached CD Projekt several times with an offer to acquire it. The rumor is currently unsubstantiated, but supported by some industry insiders .

The Rythian analyst , in particular, claims that the Japanese platform owner has repeatedly approached CD Projekt about the purchase , and one of the reasons why the Polish company recently announced the development of many new games at once was the desire to increase the value of its shares before a potential sale.

Interestingly, the creator of the God of War and Twisted Metal series David Jaffe recently said the same thing . On one of the streams in mid-October, the ex-developer mentioned that he had heard a lot of rumors that Sony might be trying to get their hands on CD Projekt RED.

The head of PlayStation Jim Ryan this year has repeatedly noted that the company is going to continue studio purchases.
