Sniper Ghost Warrior franchise exceeds 13 million sales in total
The Polish studio CI Games boasted that since the premiere of the first part in 2010, it has already sold over 13 million copies of Sniper Ghost Warrior games .
As added, the latest part – Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 from 2021 – alone is responsible for 1 million.
“This milestone was achieved in under a year, selling faster than its predecessor, and is testament to the hard work by the team at Underdog Studio,” said CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski. “We’d like to thank our loyal fanbase who have supported the series over the years and also welcome all the new players who have helped us accomplish this goal.”
Sniper: Art of Victory from 2008 can be considered the first installment of the series. The publisher, however, apparently does not include this game, which still focuses on action during World War II.
Already Sniper: Ghost Warrior from 2010 moved the events to modern times, which is one of the foundations of the shooter until today, as well as eliminating targets from long distances .
In 2017, the series saw a slip-up in the form of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3. Increasing the ambition and focusing on the open world was not entirely successful, and the network was dominated by compilations of errors rather than accurate shots.
CI Games has drawn conclusions and in 2019 it returned in a reduced formula, thanks to Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts. Instead of exploring a large map, we perform more linear missions.
