The South Korean developers of Project Cloud Games reopen a window on the action souls-like dimension of Project Relic with a gameplay video that shows us how work is progressing on this ambitious fantasy title that draws strong inspiration from the Dark Souls trilogy and the Devil May epic Cry.
The new ingame clips fed by the Asian software house allow us to appreciate the progress made by Project Cloud Games in the creation of open world scenarios, polygonal models of enemies and, above all, the animations accompanying the combat system of the protagonists.
It is precisely to the work done on the animations that we must look with particular attention to understand the commitment made in the development of the particular combat system on which the entire game experience of Project Relic will be based, a title that will see users constantly alternate the interpretable heroes .
Between elusive dodges, special attacks and chained moves to disorient the opponent on duty in a riot of particle effects, Relic thus promises to “vary on the theme” of soulslike bringing a breath of freshness.
The launch of Cloud Games’ latest souls-like action effort is expected to be around 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S.
