But he has nothing to say about the revival of Scalebound.
Back in 2019, the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, said that the company was working to ensure that Final Fantasy 14 was released on its consoles. Three years later, however, an Xbox port of the MMO has yet to even be announced.
Speaking to GAME Watch at the Tokyo Game Show, Spencer commented on the announcement and confirmed that he still hopes Final Fantasy 14 will be released on Xbox, although he can’t give an exact timeline yet.
Yes, we definitely talked about it [laughs]. Of course, we haven’t given up yet. Both we and Square Enix want Final Fantasy 14 to come to Xbox, and we continue to work together to make it happen.

Previously, the developers of Final Fantasy 14 said that one of the main problems due to which the game is not on the Xbox is the social features of the platform, which hamper the player’s experience.
In the same interview, Spencer stated that he had nothing to say about a possible revival of Scalebound by PlatinumGames. Previously, game designer Hideki Kamiya suggested that the head of Xbox return to the canceled project, but it seems that so far they have not agreed on anything.
