In 2022, several high-profile announcements and even a prime minister are to be made. One of the well-known informants shared the received details and the list includes, among others, Persona 6 and Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
At the outset, I must point out that this is not official information, but comes from a very well-known source – Nate the Hate has already mentioned Nintendo’s plans or announced the presentation of Alan Wake 2 at The Game Awards 2021 . Insider often presents behind-the-scenes information that is later validated by publishers and producers.
- HD Remaster of Metroid Prime will be in the second half of 2022. As it is the 20th Anniversary since original release on the GameCube and can see Nintendo position as a headliner in the holiday season.
- Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is delayed internally that can fall into 2023 due to the virus and technical issues. Could still release in 2022 as the game needs to sort out technical issues.
- New Fire Emblem is coming in 2022 from the Three Houses devs and it sounds very exciting with better graphics and mechanics. Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War remake will not come in 2022, more likely 2023.
- Mentions that a DK game is in development but can’t get information on the game like if it is 2D or 3D or what the game is about other than it is development.
- Believes that House of the Dead is coming out in March.
- Nate is led to believe that Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will come out in early 2023 but it may make it in the second half of 2022, but based on things he’s heard it is unlikely.
- Resident Evil Outrage (multiplayer game) is no longer a project and it was meant for PlayStation, Xbox and PC (he mentioned this last year and reaffirms this again).
- The Nintendo Switch Resident Evil game is Revelations 3 (unsure if it is in development) due to how hard and difficult to get information on the project recently.
- Believes that Persona 4 Golden will make it’s way on Switch and PlayStation in 2022
- States “which I would anticipate that Persona 6 is announced as a PlayStation 5 exclusive” (doesn’t elaborate further). Sounds like it’ll be announced later in the Persona anniversary.
- Final Fantasy Pixel remasters coming to Switch in 2022, yes by Nate and MVG.
