Persona 5 Royal in PS5 version does not support PS4 version saves and there is no possibility of transferring from one console to another.
Atlus has accustomed the audience to creating huge productions, which is perfectly confirmed by the fact that it takes up to 100 hours to complete Persona 5 Royal. Despite this, the studio did not take care of the option to transfer the gameplay from PS4 to PS5. This is terrible news for fans who planned to continue their adventure on the new Sony console.
Persona 5 Royal is one of the best items from the previous generation, which at the same time surprised me with its scale. The Japanese team has developed a huge story that will be available to users of other platforms after many years – in October, the title will be premiered on the Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and PlayStation 5.
Atlus has previously announced that Persona 5 Royal will not receive the free PS4 to PS5 upgrade option – if players want to check out a newer version, they will simply have to buy it. The situation looks just as bad when transferring the game from the previous to the current generation, because the studio did not provide for such a convenience.
This is certainly unpleasant news for recipients who wanted to continue the game at the end of the year, and devoted quite a lot of time to Persona on PS4. Interestingly, the Xbox title will receive full Smart Delivery support, so you will be able to turn it on on both platforms.
