“I would always personally say my hope is that before I ride off into the sunset, I’d love to make another Fallout game.” – Obsidian co-founder Feargus Urquhart
Earlier this year, there were rumors that Obsidian Entertainment wanted to return to the Fallout series. Previously, the studio created Fallout: New Vegas , which many fans consider to be the best entry in the series that Bethesda has released.
In a recent interview with DualShockers to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary, Obsidian co-founder and head Fergus Urquhart shared his thoughts on the possibility of the studio returning to Fallout . Although the developer did not reveal specific details, he noted that he would love to work on another game .
“Of course, if we ever got the opportunity to make another Fallout game, we’d make it. There’s not even a question of whether or not we would do it, it’s just ‘Will the opportunity arise?’. I hung around at Interplay for probably an extra year because I wanted to work on Fallout more. I love Fallout.”

At the end of September, Obsidian released the survival simulator Grounded from early access , and on November 15, the studio’s next game for Xbox and PC, the historical role-playing detective Pentiment , will be released . The team is also working on The Outer Worlds 2 and the ambitious first-person RPG Avowed.
Obsidian is very busy right now, but as soon as there is some light in the current schedule, the studio will start looking at what to do next.
I would be surprised if Fallout is not on that list

Moreover, if they still get a chance to work on a new Fallout, then, according to Urquhart, this project will have to have a connection with games from Bethesda.
I would always personally say my hope is that before I ride off into the sunset, I’d love to make another Fallout game.
