CD Projekt RED has just confirmed an important news. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is still headed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, but we have to wait until the end of the year for its premiere. This is a very large delay in relation to the originally planned plans.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was expected to hit PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S in 2021, but CD Projekt RED delayed the update. Then the project was taken from Russian developers and its release date was postponed again. The company has not disclosed details of when to expect an update so far, but we have just received preliminary information.
This is not good news for fans who believed that the production would receive improvements in the beginning of the second half of 2022. However, I have the feeling that we should be happy as the upgrades are expected to hit the market between October and December … unless of course there is another delay.
Now CD Projekt RED is working on improving the game, but we still do not know the exact details of what to really expect. The developers can now use the potential of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X | S in peace, so we can hope that the developers will take care of beautiful graphics and many improvements.
Initial details are revealed by Marcin Momot:
It is worth recalling that the next-gen The Witcher 3 will be made available for free to the owners of the adventure on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
