Apparently the new mysterious PlayStation-exclusive game Naughty Dog is working on has been in development for at least two years.
In addition to the standalone multiplayer game of The Last of Us, Naughty Dog is working on a new project exclusively for PS5 and apparently the work has started for at least two years , according to Josh Scherr’s resume.

Scherr’s LinkedIn profile reports that he is working as a writer and narrative designer on a Naughty Dog project not yet announced since May 2020 , so for more than two years.
Not only that, Kurt Margenau has updated his Twitter profile revealing that he is the game director of a game yet to be announced, which presumably is the same project. Margenau has been in the ranks of Naughty Dog for over 13 years and previously served as the co-game director of The Last of Us Part 2, the game director of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and the co-lead designer of Uncharted 4. In short, a really good curriculum.
In February, Neil Druckmann hinted that the studio was developing three different projects . With hindsight we know that two of these are the remake The Last of Us Part 1 and the standalone multiplayer game “Factions” , while the third is a project still shrouded in mystery confirmed at the Summer Game Fest 2022 of which Druckmann will not reveal anything in this regard, as long as PlayStation does not make another auto-leak .
