Recently, RAVE Reviews polled the hearts of Twitter users to find out which brands they hate the most. The results were very interesting, since the most famous brands in the world emerged in this sad ranking.
To carry out this unique research, RAVE Reviews used a tool called SentiStrenght, which collected over a million tweets and evaluated their content, and then calculated the percentage of positive and negative comments. After that, he classified the brands into different categories: on a general level, the most hated brand in the world turned out to be Sony (which, remember, does not only make video games), while in the special category dedicated to technology giants the primacy was obtained by Microsoft.
And in the world of video games alone? Well, from the research it emerged that the most hated gaming company on Twitter is Ubisoft , despite producing million-selling games every year. The French giant is unwelcome in 23 different countries around the world, followed at a distance by Capcom (frowned upon in 9 countries), Game Freak (4 countries), Konami (3 countries) and Activision (2 countries). “Maybe no community loves to hate as much as gamers,” noted RAVE Reviews.
Any other curiosity? Game Freak, the studio responsible for Pokémon, boasts a percentage of 100% negative tweets in Canada. Uber is the most hated brand in the US and UK, while among the fast food restaurants the chain with the worst reputation is KFC.
