Capcom reveals three new Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak videos featuring three weapons from the base game: Switch Axe, Sword & Shield, and Heavy Bowgun… but with the new combos and skill changes from the DLC, they’ll look brand new.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is the paid expansion for Monster Hunter Rise, the equivalent of what Iceborne was to Monster Hunter World. It’s coming out on Nintendo Switch and PC on June 30 , and while you need to own the base game, Capcom is promoting it like it’s a new game, one of its biggest games of the year .
The latest has been the publication of three trailers showing how three existing weapons in the game ( Sword Axe, Sword and Shield and Heavy Bowgun) work with the new function of changing the weapon skill in the middle of the game, with a single button .
Switching your weapon skill in the middle of the game means having access to twice as many combos as possible in the game , something that adds to the new skills with the Cablebug , which allow us to modify our attacks.
Thus, Sunbreak will be exciting not only to be able to fight new monsters (and old monsters from previous games not available in Rise before), but also to be able to fight all of them with new moves.
