Mykhailo Fedorov met Brad Smith during the World Economic Forum, and the talks resulted in the confirmation of important information by the president and vice-president of Microsoft. The Redmond corporation plans to support the process of collecting documentation on Russian aggression.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine is currently in Davos at the Economic Forum. This year’s edition of the event is unique because no Russian participates in it. However, representatives of Ukraine have many opportunities to take up extremely important topics – Fedorov spoke with Brad Smith. Additionally, an important message for the Ukrainian population was confirmed:
Caught @BradSmi in Davos. Ukraine will cooperate with @Microsoft team on documenting damages & war crimes for UN agencies. Company will participate in rebuild process by leading digital industry. And long-waited news for our gamers: @Xbox will go Ukrainian. accounts & store.
The American corporation will help in the preparation of documentation, which is undeniably very important in the face of the ongoing war beyond our eastern border – documents, photos and recordings must be effectively protected against hostile teams of hackers. For 90 days, the Russians have been invading the country ruled by Volodymyr Zelensky, committing numerous crimes also against the civilian population.
Microsoft also assured that it would prepare a Ukrainian version of the Xbox system, allow players to use accounts in their own language and from the Ukrainian store. All these initiatives deserve praise.
