The Metal Gear Solid saga is full of cut contents, such as ideas and concepts discarded for reasons of time or for technical reasons related, for example, to the hardware limitations of the consoles: here are the most interesting contents that we have not seen in the games of the series by Hideo Kojima.
Starting from the excellent research conducted by the youtuber DidYouKnowGaming we thus went to the rediscovery of the many graphic, playful and narrative elements that should have outlined the experience offered to fans of the Metal Gear Solid series. Some of these contents, if properly implemented, could have altered the very course of the events experienced by Solid Snake and by the many other characters and villains of this cult IP.
Taking a cue from the tweets shared by Kojima and from the countless interviews held over the years by the brilliant Japanese game designer, we know for example that the original version of the now historic opening sequence of the second chapter included much more content , with long sections that would have seen the protagonist swim underwater in search of the submerged tanker.
The video is based on this and many other secrets on the development of this glorious IP, but if you are looking for further food for thought we advise you to continue the journey through the mysteries of the cult saga of Hideo Kojima by reading our special on Metal Gear Solid and the cut contents of the series , with many anecdotes offered to us by Francesco Mocerino.
