Apparently, as shared by the Twitter user called teebeeYT, the kart video game could receive a more than generous list of new playable characters in future updates, among which we could find Pauline, Diddy Kong, Kamek and King Bob-omb, among many others.

According to the user, this information comes from an anonymous source who claims to be working on the development of the video game and, therefore, has been able to access Nintendo’s plans for its future. Although the information could not be verified, it is believed that this could be real since the fourth wave will add Birdo, a new playable character, so it is not unreasonable to think that Nintendo is interested in expanding the roster of runners in future waves.
