Lionsgate has expressed interest in a triple-A game based on John Wick in order to take full advantage of intellectual property.
John Wick could become a triple-A game , or at least that’s the intention Lionsgate executives expressed in their latest investor meeting. The potential of the franchise, moreover, is evident.
A few weeks after the first official trailer of John Wick 4, it therefore seems that the saga starring Keanu Reeves may eventually land on PC and consoles with a wide-ranging project.
“We believe we should make a John Wick triple-A game and are working on proposals to do so,” said Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer. “There is certainly the intention to continue this project, but I can not say more at the moment.
We know of course that there is already a tie-in based on the film saga, the strategic John Wick Hex signed by Mike Bithell, but in this case we are talking about a production with a limited budget.
The idea of Lionsgate is to make the most of the great popularity of the brand, which has so far recorded excellent revenues in cinemas and could indeed do well in the video game market.
