The downloadable content, which had been hinted at in recent months, would add an area to the south of the original map of this Guerrilla Games RPG.
For the past few months there have been rumors about the possibility of a downloadable content or expansion for Horizon Forbidden West, the action RPG from Guerrilla Games, similar to The Frozen Wilds from Horizon: Zero Dawn. The clearest clue was given by actor Lance Reddick, who confirmed a new motion capture session . The well-known insider The Snitch drops that the Burning Shores announcement is imminent , probably at The Game Awards 2022.
The Snitch has published an image with a map of the areas of San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, and on them appears a graphic similar to the focus, the device that Aloy uses to detect information. Theoretically Burning Shores will take place in these locations, to the south of the original map , and its name appears a couple of times during the main Forbidden West story , but players cannot currently access this area. Insider Gaming leaks that Burning Shores will launch in April 2023.
Reddick, who plays Sylens in Horizon , shared a since-deleted tweet with Guerrilla’s usual motion-capture video, noting that he was “hard at work… Shooting for Horizon Forbidden West ! ” some time after its launch, something that can only be interpreted as new content in which this character will have a little more prominence.
