Hogwarts Legacy will allow the player several choices, which can affect the story and the ending of the game, depending on what is decided.
Hogwarts Legacy should allow the player considerable freedom, with various choices that should affect the development of the story and the ending , thus presenting different possibilities depending on how the user behaved during the adventure.
Director Adam Tew, in particular, explained that “Different interactions with different characters can also offer different choice points for the player, and then some of those things can affect things game-wide, some of these affect characters’ lives, the ending of the game.”
On the other hand, we have seen that Hogwarts Legacy contains a dialogue system with multiple choices , and apparently these have some weight in the development of the events and in the construction of the game’s ending.
An example of this freedom of choice is also visible in the recent video shown in last week’s gameplay showcase: when Oggspire informs the player of the presence of a group of spotted flying keys, we see the different answers that we can give to the NPC appear, which probably lead to different outcomes.
This part doesn’t seem particularly relevant to the development of the story, but there are likely to be others that are much more significant. As reported by the director “the scale of possible choices varies a lot, but they are all opportunities that exist for the player”, also referring to the numerous secondary quests that can be undertaken and which aim to enrich the game world and deepen its knowledge, as well as to change some elements of the story.
