Hangar 13 has posted a tools engineer job posting that the employee will be working on a multi-platform Unreal Engine 5 game currently in pre-production.
In August 2022, the studio confirmed that it was working on the next Mafia, so it is likely that the job description is talking about it.
The pre-production stage means that the game is still at least 2-3 years away from release – this may depend, among other things, on the size of the game.
Previously, several publications wrote that the upcoming game will be a prequel to the entire series and will tell about events at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
