Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two, made some very strong statements about GTA 6 giving the latest financial updates on the company.
Grand Theft Auto VI is one of the most highly anticipated games in recent times. Understandably, the game’s developers are keeping it tightly under wraps.
During the meeting with shareholders focused on the financial results achieved for the first quarter of the current fiscal year (from April to June 2022). After updating the sales figures for GTA 5, which has reached the exorbitant figure of 170 million copies placed, the CEO of Take-Two Strauss Zelnick has provided an update on the processing of the sequel, confirming that GTA 6 is in full development and that Rockstar Games’ goal is to leave a profound mark on the entire entertainment industry. “With development of the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series well underway, the Rockstar Games team is determined to once again set creative benchmarks for the series, our industry, and for all entertainment, just as the label has done with every one of their frontline releases” said the CEO.

Zelnick hasn’t added anything else to GTA 6, but his mission statement came loud and clear to the millions of gamers eager to experience a new adventure in the criminal universe born from Rockstar Games. The CEO also chose not to comment on the recent report by Jason Schreier, who spoke of a GTA 6 set in Vice City, with a protagonist duo formed by a man and a woman, and expected in the next fiscal year (between April 2023 and March 2024). The words of the Bloomberg reporter, therefore, have not yet been confirmed.
