The following years look quite promising for Take-Two. The publisher of the Grand Theft Auto series wants to make seven productions available on the market in the near future, but the plans do not only take into account these items. Players can count on a few surprises, including GTA 6.
Take-Two had another very good quarter – the publisher had net revenues of $ 930 million (+ 11%), but net profit fell to $ 111 million (-49%). The owners of the company emphasize that in both cases the results exceeded the forecasts.
Titles such as WWE 2K22, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and subsequent versions of GTA 5 turned out to be a great success – all productions “exceeded expectations”. Players rushed to the new edition of Grand Theft Auto 5, thanks to which as much as 5 million units of the game were sold in the last quarter. The total sales of the gangster item are already 165 million copies.
These are the results of Take-Two’s most important productions:
- Grand Theft Auto V – 165 million
- GTA (series) – 375 million
- Red Dead Redemption 2 – 44 million
- Red Dead Redemption (series) – 67 million
- Borderlands 3 – 15 million
- Borderlands (series) – 75 million
- Sid Meier’s Civilization (series) – 62 million
- BioShock (series) – 39 million
The publisher presented forecasts for the coming months – as many as seven games will debut by March 31, 2023:
- The Quarry
- Marvel’s Midnight Suns
- Kerbal Space Program 2
- NBA 2K23
- WWE 2K23
- PGA Tour 2K23
- A new part of Tales from the Borderlands
We also learned the plans for the period until April 31, 2025, so we know that Take-Two intends to launch as many as 8 “new versions of previously released titles”. There are many indications that the studios under the publisher’s wings are working on several game updates (remake / remaster), the premieres of which will take place in the coming years.
Is this list likely to include Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS5 / XSX | S), Red Dead Redemption Remake , or even the grand return of Grand Theft Auto IV ? We are left to wait for the official reports of the Americans.
