Polyphony Digital has not decided to make any further changes to the Gran Turismo 7 reward system, but the developers have increased the prices of the best cars instead. The community is complaining for a reason, and some gamers laugh that inflation has hit the servers.
The developers of Gran Turismo 7 faced a lot of negative comments a few weeks ago, as players assessed the developers’ actions very unequivocally – the community believed that the company wanted to encourage customers to buy cars for real money by reducing prizes in popular races.
Polyphony Digital has apologized and announced changes, but the latest update has sparked Sony’s racing fans again as the prices of many of the most expensive vehicles have been adjusted and now it’s even harder to buy cars.
The last patch (1.15) increased the prices of Legendary Cars in the Hagerta showroom – out of 62 available machines, 27 are more expensive, and in the case of 15 vehicles, the developers did not even warn about the price increase … although they have a specially prepared system for this.
Gamers have the impression that Gran Turismo 7 developers have raised car prices due to inflation, as their real-world counterparts are also more expensive. The average increase in Hagerty is 3.8%, which means that players have to spend more hours on the servers to collect credits for digital vehicles.
