FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki are in the final stages of work on their next game. The director of Elden Ring did not reveal what the title was about, but there are many indications that it is the next installment of the well-known and liked Armored Core series. In addition, the Japanese does not rule out the creation of the sequel Elden Ring.
Tomorrow will be exactly five months since the premiere of the Elden Ring . FromSoftware keeps pears in the ashes and regularly adds community-requested features to its game.
The development of this production and – hopefully – the development of possible DLCs for it, however, is only one of at least two projects that Hidetaka Miyazaki’s team is currently working on. The Japanese director revealed in an interview with 4gamer.net that his team is in the final stages of creating another game.
Miyazaki did not reveal the title. Importantly, the question concerned one of the “three and a half” productions that FromSoftware was working on in 2016. Today we know that two of them turned out to be Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Elden Ring , and the other half – a dedicated PS VR FPP adventure game Deracine.
Armored Core 6 is the next FromSoftware game?
There are many indications that the undisclosed title is Armored Core VI , the next installment of the popular series of third-person action games with huge mechs in the lead role, launched in 1997. Less than six months ago, several screens allegedly from this production appeared on the web – you can see them here – and some Internet users were to be asked to complete a consumer survey about it.
It would be the first installment of the series in over a decade – the “five” was released in 2012 on PS3 and X360. According to the questions from the aforementioned survey, the “six” would be signed by slogans such as: “the world of science fiction created by Hidetaka Miyazaki”, “three-dimensional, dynamic action” and “a large degree of freedom in adjusting”
Elden Ring with more updates
Hidetaka Miyazaki also confirmed in this interview that the Elden Ring will receive further updates. We do not know what exactly they would refer to, but there are definitely many small elements of production that would not be harmed by improvement.
One can, of course, hope that the father of the Souls series also meant larger expansions – like The Ringed City to Dark Souls III . All FromSoftware games released by Bandai Namco Entertainment ( Elden Ring also belongs to them) have finally received this type of add-on.
Elden Ring 2 can arise
What’s more, Miyazaki was confronted with the thesis that the Elden Ring sequel would sell very well , so it’s a shame that the studio is currently avoiding making a sequel. The Japanese director summed it up with the words that each case is considered separately, as there are advantages to both creating a new brand and building the existing one further. In the case of Elden Ring , no decision has yet been made, and the developer “wants to choose the right one”. In other words – Elden Ring 2 is not excluded.
