Final Fantasy IX is one of those classics that just turned twenty, as well as being one of the most famous chapters of the JRPG saga of the PSOne era ever.
Although games like Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade have abandoned the classic structure of classic turn-based RPGs, the ninth final fantasy is instead one of the last chapters of the franchise to embrace the traditional style.
After all, something new related to Final Fantasy IX could now really be on the way , as suggested by a recent comment from the game’s event planner.
Not to mention that Square’s RPG is such a popular title that an unofficial fan remake has shown the potential of the thing , now becoming even better than ever.
Some fans have in fact given life to a project called Memoria Project in honor of the title created by Square Soft (before becoming Square Enix) several years ago.
The project aims to bring the city of Alexandria back to life , just as if it were a real remake for next-generation consoles.
As you can see from the video below, the graphics quality is really very high , although at the moment there is still nothing playable.
The project is created by a team of developers and professional artists in the sector, led by the talented Dan Eder, artist of 3D characters. Who knows if this fan project can stir the waters about the production of an official remake.
We remember in any case that another classic Square of the PSOne era could be the remake that PlayStation has been working on for some time .
Not to mention that an animated series based on the ninth final fantasy is in development by the French of Cyber Group Studios, in collaboration with Square Enix.
