Through the pages of the PlayStation Blog, Naoki Yoshida and Hiroshi Takai , respectively producer and director of the game, shared an update on the status of the work, reiterating again that Final Fantasy 16 is in the final stages of development and that it is already “playable from start to finish “.
During the State of Play of June 2022, a new trailer of Final Fantasy 16 was presented which also showed some gameplay sequences and revealed the release period of the expected Square Enix JRPG. Subsequently through the PlayStation Blog, Yoshida and Takai shared an update on the status of the works, which as mentioned are in the final stages , a sign that perhaps the game will not suffer delays with respect to Square Enix’s plans, or at least that’s what we hope, given that postponements are commonplace in recent years, especially for large projects.
” The team, under direction of Hiroshi Takai, has entered the final leg of development and is focusing on polish as they continue their march toward master up and launch. I, for one, would like to personally thank them for all the hard work they’ve put into the project. With the power of the PlayStation 5 behind us, we’re looking to take you on a seamless, story-driven, white-knuckle ride that will rival even the most thrilling roller-coaster. So buckle up, the wait is almost over!” says Naoki Yoshida.
” As for development progress, I’m happy to announce that the game is fully playable from start to finish; though, from optimization to brush-up, there is still a mountain of challenges to tackle as we head into our final push. Until then, please stay tuned. We’ll do our best to not keep you waiting too long before our next update!” added Hiroshi Takai.
