Having completed the Azimuth Saga with the Elite Dangerous Update 13 , the developers of Frontier Developments confirm the imminent departure of the automatic account transfer program from the console versions to the PC edition, complete with a code to redeem one for free new copy of the game.
In the latest development diary packaged by Frontier, the authors of the English software house founded and directed by David Braben inform us that they are completing work on the account transfer system. The program in question will give all Elite Dangerous galactic explorers on PlayStation or Xbox platforms the opportunity to continue their adventure among the stars of the PC version , the only one still updated and enriched with content after the cancellation of Elite Dangerous Odyssey on consoles.
The account transfer system will also give access to a free PC copy of the game , provided of course that you have a PlayStation or Xbox copy: users who have been able to use Elite Dangerous on Xbox Game Pass, as a result, will be able to transfer account but will need to purchase a separate PC copy of the title.
The program will enter beta testing on September 5th, and will then be made available to everyone between September 12th and 18th. According to the Frontier Developments team, the steps to take to receive a free copy of Elite Dangerous will be very simple: during the process of copying the account from console to PC, each player will be asked to log in with a pre-existing PC account or to create one from scratch. By choosing this second option, each user will be automatically granted a license to unlock Elite Dangerous Horizons on PC.
