Also celebrated by George RR Martin, the success of Elden Ring seems to have crossed the boundaries usually imposed on soulslikes , in particular thanks to the amazing evaluations of the game and word of mouth on social networks.
In the specific case of Xbox, Elden Ring figures in eighth place in the ranking of the most popular games, which however is composed almost exclusively of free-to-play titles with the exception, as mentioned, of Grand Theft Auto V.
The first place of the top 10 is occupied by Fortnite, followed by Call of Duty: Warzone and Apex Legends, the three battle royale of reference worldwide. In fourth position the Rockstar Games blockbuster, but it is no surprise if we think that GTA 5 has sold over 160 million copies .
Also in the ranking we find Destiny 2, Roblox and the multiplayer sector of Halo Infinite, while immediately after Elden Ring another non-free production stands out, namely Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege .
