Techland is very sure about the date of Dying Light 2’s debut. Tymon Smektała confirmed that the studio focused on the scheduled premiere and will keep its promise. The position of the Polish team will face strong titles.
According to the original assumptions, Dying Light 2 Stay Human was supposed to be on the market in December, but Techland announced that it needs more time and will only release the long-awaited game on February 4, 2022 . At the beginning of the year, many promising productions will also debut, but there are many indications that the zombies from Wrocław are not afraid of competition.
In an interview with the editorial office of MP1st, Tymon Smektała boldly stated that the premiere of the position will not be changed and emphasized that “there is no chance” that the post-apocalyptic adventure will experience another delay.
The main designer of Dying Light 2 also announced that the main goal of the developers was to present the game of the highest quality, and therefore it must pass a series of tests.
“I think the most important reason for us is that when you work on a non-linear game, and you want to polish that, your actually not polishing one game, but few games at the same time. Because the same game can have so many variants, and some of those variants can be so drastically different that you have to verify every playthrough, not just 1000 times, but 1000 times multiplied by the number of variations in the game. So this is the reason for the delay, and also this is our baby. This is our IP. The Dying Light IP is owned by our studio. So we just knew that we couldn’t release the game if it’s not ready to release.”
In the first three months of 2022, such productions as Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, The King of Fighters XV, Horizon Forbidden West, Elden Ring, ELEX II, Gran Turismo 7, Triangle Strategy, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy will debut. Origin or Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, which makes us sure that the latest Techland title will face the demanding competition.
