After years of waiting and many rumors, Capcom just announced Dragon’s Dogma 2. The production is a great sequel to the game that has been warmly welcomed by players around the world … although some could count on a little more.
Capcom has decided to celebrate Dragon’s Dogma’s 10th anniversary in a rather strange way. Hideaki Itsuno (creative director of the game) talked about the uniqueness of this forgotten IP for over 10 minutes, and at the very end (literally at the last minute) the developer confirmed that Dragon’s Dogma is in production. The Japanese pointed out that the whole team is working very hard to develop the title, but … We didn’t get any details.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is coming up, but at least we currently don’t know the target platforms, the release date, and we couldn’t even see the little teaser … Hideaki Itsuno showed off the tee and that’s it.
After the event ended, Capcom revealed interesting information – Dragon’s Dogma 2 is being developed on RE Engine. Street Fighter 6, Pragmata, Exoprimal or Resident Evil 4 are being prepared on the internal engine, and the developers previously developed on this technology, among others: Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5, Resident Evil 3 Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village.
