Something historical in its own way happened with the Diablo 2 Resurrected update 2.4 just released . The update brings a long series of improvements and also introduces the Competitive Ladder , but also fixes some historical bugs of the original version.
These are gameplay problems that plagued Diablo II since its launch in the now distant 2000 and that in all these years have never been solved , at least until today and thanks to the arrival of the Resurrected re-edition. In particular:
- Fixed an issue where Unique monster packs with mana drain were draining way more mana than was intended
- Fixed an issue where fire enchanted monsters were doing too much damage in Nightmare difficulty
These are important adjustments that now make the gameplay much more balanced, despite the fact that it took over two decades to fix them. However, Blizzard Entertainment had already specified on several occasions that, with Resurrected, it also intended to solve similar historical problems, so it cannot be excluded that further improvements on long-standing problems will arrive in the near future.
