The world is struggling with huge increases in the price of food or electricity, and Double Eleven has decided to react and provided all employees with large raises so that the developers can develop games in peace without worrying about the global crisis.
The fact that the British studio Double Eleven increased the salary of its employees by 2,500 pounds, was reported by employees of the company and representatives of the trade union IWGB, which represents the interests of game developers.
The management of Double Eleven made a surcharge amid the food and energy crises in the UK. In the first half of 2022, the price of food, fuel and gas rose sharply in the country.
Some developers from Double Eleven thanked the studio for the increase. Lead game designer Natalie Wicks wrote that the salary of all employees has been increased in addition to previous bonuses.
Head of QA-department Stefan McStee said that she is proud to work in a company that really cares about its employees.
Double Eleven’s office, with around 300 employees, is located in Middlesbrough. The studio is known for developing Minecraft Dungeons, LittleBigPlanet for PS Vita, Goat Simulator for Xbox, and the console port of Rust. Double Eleven is currently helping Bethesda create content for Fallout 76.
